These lovely Japanese Sun Fujis are cultivated with love and care. They are sweeter than regular Fujis because they are exposed to sunshine, which aids in the development of their sugars. The creamy white flesh is fine-grained, firm, and crisp, with a tangy sweet flavour reminiscent of freshly squeezed apple juice. Making it a wonder treat for people with a sweet tooth.
Fuji apples store well in the refrigerator and can be enjoyed year-round. They should be stored unwashed in the front area of the refrigerator.
Did you know that Sun Fujis have about 10% more natural sugar by weight than regular apples? This is despite the fact that most Fuji apples grown in Japan are wrapped in paper bags to keep the fruit tender and green. Sun Fujis are grown without paper bags so they can be exposed to the sun to turn red.
