Japanese Amaou Strawberries

Amaou strawberry is a unique strawberry variety grown in the Fukuoka region of Japan. Amaou is known as the "king" of Japanese strawberries because of their bright red colour and enormous size. They are also very sweet and have a mild acidity that balances the flavour. Even the name is an acronym derived from the fruit's luxurious qualities, which in Japanese stands for amai (sweet), marui (round), okii (huge) and umai (delicious). We also recommend eating Amaou strawberries from the bottom up, as the upper part of the fruit has a higher sugar content.

STORAGE

Amou strawberries does not have a lengthy shelf life and are best consumed within 3 days of purchase. They should be stored immediately intact and unwashed in their original packaging.
