Shine Muscat seeds have been transported from Japan and planted in Korea and China in order to increase supply and lower prices while maintaining quality. As a result, it is popular among Asian fans. China grows over 53,000 hectares of Shine Muscat grapes, whereas Japan presently grows approximately 1,200 hectares. China's Muscat grapes emerge with a sharp, snappy texture that matures into a smooth, delicious consistency. There are no stringy fibres seen in the centre of a typical grape. The grapes have a high sugar content, averaging 18 Brix, and are known for their sweet, flowery flavour with tropical fruit, honey, mango, and musk characteristics.

STORAGE

Shine muscat grapes will typically arrive properly wrapped in plastic and may be preserved up to one week when stored in the original packing in the refrigerator
