Jeju Orange Cheon Hye Hyang are a hybrid breed between an orange and a tangerine. These Korea oranges are sweet and incredibly aromatic, making them a fantastic choice for anyone craving something sweet. Compared to most other citrus fruits, these tangerines have less acidity and a complex sweetness. They also have a thin skin that covers the incredibly soft flesh, and are typically about two to three times the size of a traditional tangerine.
Keep Cheon Hyehyang in the refrigerator when not eaten. Since Korea tangerines have a high moisture content, they may mould and spoil if stored for a long period of time in Singapore's humid room temperature.
Did you know that Korean tangerines are very popular in Korea because of their exquisite smell? In fact, its name stems from ‘향기가 천리를간다’, or ‘the heavenly scent that travels a thousand miles’.
